How it works

You lead the outcome. Your Chief of Staff runs the work.

You are the CinC. Keep one relationship at the top, use as much specialist capacity as the job needs, and retain authority over every important decision.

01

Choose your second-in-command

Start with a Chief of Staff such as Jarvis, set its operating style, and decide which files, apps, tools, and accounts it may coordinate.

02

Set the outcome

Describe what done looks like in ordinary language. Add the context, constraints, deadline, budget, and approval rules that matter.

03

Let the Chief of Staff build the crew

It handles simple work itself or appoints Crew Leaders for research, strategy, documents, content, finance, health, or any custom field the job needs.

04

Stay informed, not buried

Follow one job while Crew Leaders direct as many Executors as needed. Your Chief of Staff tracks progress, checks quality, and escalates cost, risk, or ambiguity.

05

Approve the result and keep the pattern

Review the sources, actions, spend, and open decisions. Then save repeat work as a loop or a workflow the crew can run again.

Use a job when

The outcome matters once.

Prepare a launch brief, research a purchase, organize a file set, compare options, or coordinate a one-off project.

Use a loop when

The judgment repeats.

Triage an inbox, watch for changes, prepare a daily brief, review a budget, or follow up on open work while adapting to new context.

Use a workflow when

The rules must hold.

Run fixed stages, branch on known conditions, retry failed steps, checkpoint state, require evidence, and stop for approval before risk.

A hybrid example

Monthly budget review

The workflow controls source access, date range, calculations, variance limits, approval, and delivery. A finance nanion explains anomalies and asks follow-up questions where fixed rules cannot.

Nanions keeps each job visible from request to result. You can see which Chief of Staff owns it, which Crew Leaders are involved, what the Executors may access, and what still needs your attention.

When work repeats, save the useful pattern. Let the crew handle the routine while you keep approval over choices that carry risk.
